HOST · Uncle Joe’s Fish Shed
Jody Reed is the founder of the Wet Floor Podcast and the voice behind Uncle Joe’s Fish Shed. A freshwater aquarist, educator, and speaker, Jody focuses much of his work on responsible fishkeeping, ethical breeding, conservation, livestock health, transparency, and best-management practices within the aquarium hobby.
He has appeared as a speaker at multiple Aquashella events, presenting on ethics, conservation, and responsible practices for home breeders and livestock suppliers. Through Uncle Joe’s Fish Shed, his YouTube channel, and the Wet Floor Podcast, Jody works to bring hobbyists, breeders, retailers, and educators together for open conversations about where the aquarium hobby is today and where it should go next.
Jorge Sanchez is the creator behind Mexicali Fishkeeper, a YouTube channel exploring fishkeeping and aquarium stores in both the United States and Mexico. His videos and recurring “Mexicali and…” livestreams introduce viewers to fellow hobbyists, breeders, store owners, and creators. On The Wet Floor Podcast, Jorge brings a perspective shaped by those conversations, store visits, and his own fishkeeping adventures.
Ray Sparks is a TikTok livestreamer and co-owner of Fins For Grins with Michelle in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. You can find him live on TikTok as @finsforgrins2. Their freshwater specialty store helps hobbyists plan aquariums, choose compatible livestock, and understand the care their fish need. Ray also shares practical demonstrations on YouTube, including how to test aquarium water and interpret the results. On The Wet Floor Podcast, he brings the questions and lessons that come from helping customers every day, with a focus on building confident fishkeepers.
Tina Camacho is the freshwater hobbyist, educator, aquatic artist, and TikTok livestreamer behind AQUAintuition. You can find her live on TikTok as @aquaintuitions. Her beginner-focused guidance centers on patience, intention, consistency, and stability—principles she explores through her planted aquariums and aquarium writing. Her YouTube channel, She Keeps Fish, connects fishkeeping with nature and creativity, while her art celebrates fish and underwater life. Tina Camacho brings both an educator’s care and an artist’s eye to the podcast.
The Wet Floor is about the conversations that happen when people who care about aquariums get together. Fish, plants, aquarium care, and the people behind the hobby all have a place here.
We don’t have to agree on every approach to learn from one another. Our aim is to give new and experienced hobbyists a welcoming place to hear those perspectives and make more informed decisions.
